Air Insulated Switchgear
Air insulated switch are generally called semi-insulating switchgear, gas insulated rmu are generally called fully insulated rmu.
The difference is
1. After the air-insulation, the phase-to-phase distance is only 1/3 of the air-insulated switchgear, and the size of the switchgear is greatly reduced.
2, fully insulated ring main unit insulation medium: sf6, n2 gas or its composite gas as the insulation medium, strong insulation performance.
3, electrical clearance: insulation gas insulation performance is far stronger than air, full insulation switchgear electrical clearance is much smaller than semi-insulated switchgear
4. Equipment size: Because the electrical clearance is small, the size of the fully insulated switchgear is much smaller than that of the semi-insulated switchgear of the same voltage level, and the floor space is small.
5. Altitude effect: The main circuit components of the fully insulated ring main unit are built in the air-filled compartment, the pressure is constant, and it is not affected by the altitude, especially suitable for high altitude areas. The insulation performance of the semi-insulated ring main unit is directly affected by the altitude. The standard product is used for 1000m or less. The higher altitude requires a special design.
6. Contamination effects: Contamination cannot affect the inflatable compartment of a fully insulated ring main unit and is suitable for use in dirty areas. Semi-insulated ring main units are directly affected by contamination, and special harsh conditions require a special design.
